    Pregnancy care

Miss Touqmatchi is an advocate for helping women achieve the pregnancy and labour that they choose to have, be it a normal delivery or planned Caesarean section. Miss Touqmatchi is one of the named Consultants working alongside the midwifery-led team at the Portland which aim to help women achieve a normal vaginal delivery with minimal medical intervention.

Miss Touqmatchi works closely with a team of other Portland consultants, one of whom is always on-call for Portland patients.

Whilst Miss Touqmatchi endeavours to deliver your baby herself, there are rare occasions where she will be unable to. This can be due to annual leave and or unforeseen circumstances that come about.  If this were to happen, one of the team of consultants who cover her would be there to step in and look after you in labour.

Miss Touqmatchi does all her private Obstetric work at The Portland Hospital.

“The Words 'thank you' will never be enough to express how grateful we are for you bringing both our boys into the world. You have been amazing and thank you always having been there on the end of the phone”
